Clinical Product Manager

- SUMMARY:
Provide product definition, develop requirements, resolve product issues,
and clinically test patient monitoring products. Provide product and
clinical expertise as a team member in the development of products.
DUTIES:
- Product Definition, Requirements Specification, Requirements issue
resolution, coordinate the review, sign-off, and release of the
Requirements Specification
- Support, and critique User Interface Design
- Attends meetings, communicates definition and clinical investigations
schedule status, coordinate and/or resolves product definition issues as
related to market requirements or product design
- Support the development and validation of User and Service
Documentation
- Provide all departments with clinical and technical data regarding the
application and use of patient monitors and related equipment
- Support and monitor product complaint resolutions for impacts to
requirements
- Approve final product release based on results of validation testing
and clinical testing as compared to meeting the Product Requirements.
- Monitor product acceptance based on input from customer service and
complaints.
- Establish and maintain contact with clinical experts for understanding
of clinical needs, product opportunities, and technology direction
- Harmonize all products to represent a common product philosophy
(including look & feel) consistent with our System Concept and
System Requirements.
- Ensure conformance to Country Regulations in the performance of
clinical investigations
- Clinical data gathering, data analysis, and report generation
- Determine product acceptability per clinical performance and customer
acceptance
EXPERIENCE:
5 years experience in the definition, development or service / sales of
patient monitoring. 3 to 5 years hospital experience as a nurse, technician,
clinical engineer, or other hospital based health care provider.
EDUCATION:
BS in electrical, mechanical, computer, biomedical or other related
engineering discipline with 3 to 5 years experience in the development of
medical devices. MS, or Ph.D. preferred in same areas.
SPECIAL ABILITIES
Interpersonal communication skills within the company as well as with
customers. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to
interpret user needs and product concepts into detailed specifications.

Coordinates and manages Beta Sites, ROI studies any other marketing driven
clinical programs. Assists Man ger of Corporate Projects in developing
support programs. Brings an extensive understanding of the clinical
environment to the marketing department.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Coordinates Beta Site activities.
- Establishes key relationships within beta sites and ROI trial
accounts.
- Works with Manager of Corporate Projects to manage ROI trial sites.
- Assists in development of ROI and other sales support tools.
- Through insights and information gained form managing clinical
programs, assists Manager of Corporate Projects in developing corporate
programs.
- Assists product managers in their efforts to develop strategic and
tactical plans as well as promotional programs.
- Serves as the clinical expert in the marketing department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This individual should have an understanding of beta sites and their
purpose. Their background should be clinical with an understanding of the
business environment. Good interpersonal and presentation skills are a must
with an ability and confidence to deal with all levels of hospital
administration.
REQUIREMENTS:
